One of the most memorable times for the incoming Administration is the installation of the District Governor as well as his Cabinet Officers. To that end, let’s contribute to the success of this event by soliciting as many attendees as we can. Incoming club presidents, secretaries, and committee chairs will be honored and your presence will be greatly appreciated.

I received the following in the Sparks Spanish Springs Lions newsletter via Lion Cliff Cooper. The video shows an interesting use of CCI dogs and you’re viewing it can help it win.
I am writing to you to see if you can help us spread the word about a YouTube video featuring CCI dogs. There is a contest sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association, and one of the videos features two CCI Facility Dogs who work in the King County courthouse in Seattle. We are hoping that this video will get enough views by June 30th to win the People’s Choice award in this contest. This will be great publicity for CCI and, we hope, be a help for their fundraising efforts in the Northwest.
The person who made this video, Cesar Hidalgo-Landeros, is a videographer for the Seattle Police Department and loves the dogs who work in the courthouse.
The link to the video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPVdie1-Jdc
Please share this link with your club members if you have a newsgroup or something similar!
Thanks.

The Silicon Valley Lions Club of Mountain View will hold a public informational session on Wednesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, 580 Castro Street (behind the Wells Fargo Bank). There is plenty of parking in the lot, and light refreshments will be served.
During a series of three meetings in June and early July, we will review Lions club history and mission, brainstorm ideas for local involvement and begin to lay the foundation for club infrastructure. By the third meeting, we will have set our regular meeting schedule, identified charter officers and signed up all charter members.
Anyone interested in serving their community is welcome to attend. Followup meetings are scheduled for June 17 and July 1, at locations to be determined.
